A fantastic way to make big money with
AdWords and Amazon

Background:

I am active as an affiliate for some years already, that is, I have several web sites where I sell (or sold) products as an affiliate for either amazon.com or using CPA programs like CommissionJunction.

I went through it all, starting with dozens of simple Amazon astores, using Associate-O-Matic or with blogs containing product-links etc.

My earnings were all rather, let’s say, “average”. But the big problem using this method is the fact that you need to have your own web sites, you have to promote them, you have to optimize them. After all that work it still could happen that the traffic to many of my sites was rather disappointing, and even after a lot of optimization my Adwords-QualityScores were often unsatisfactory.

(If your quality-score for your landing-pages is lower than “great” you pay too much $ for clicks on Adwords leading to your site.)

After I read some related ebooks dealing with similar subjects and some more experiments on my own I came to the conclusion that I am way better off just using Adwords as an affiliate and skipping the whole process of selling products on my own sites.

Short: I switched over to use Adwords campaigns solely promoting products either from CommissionJunction or Amazon with my affiliate-link in it and the advertisers main URL as display-URL.

A typical ad would look like:

Gadget X – On Sale now!
Get it online for only $555
Free Shipping within 24hrs.
www.amazon.com

[and my destination URL for the ad then] www.amazon.de/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000PVSRUY/myaffiliateID-XX

The advantages are very obvious:

Skip the whole step of maintaining and promoting your own website

Adwords Quality Score is staggering ! I have never seen such a great QS with Adwords before, since the big majority (90%) of all my keywords now are at “great” with CPC of $0.02 or $0.03 !! And this all without any big work and web site optimization needed!

Now amazon is a huge, huge source of products and keywords and I did some of those earlier ads all manually in a very pathetic way. That is, looking on amazon.com what sells best and made some manual campaigns eg. Harry-Potter books and the usual.

Now the twist !

By pure coincidence I came along a program written by a user on Warrior forums, the program is called Amazonhunter. I just did a search on DP and to my amazement I did not see ANY mentioning of this tool anywhere on DP forums. How can it be that a program of such magnitude and almost endless possibilities is not known on one of the biggest webmaster forums ?

I tell you that I am not related to Ulf, the programmer of “Amazonhunter”, but I am thankful because I got a review-copy of
“AmazonHunter 2” which he just released two days ago! I wrote him that I am
amazed by his tool and that I will gladly review this on my blog http://www.1up-seo.com since this ONE of the very few top-notch tools people
sometimes see here and there. (I personally know already that this will be one
of my favorite tools, on par with essential tools like keyword elite et al.)

Now hold your horses, I will tell you why I am so amazed by this tool:

Amazonhunter allows you to browse the various
Amazon.com sites (.COM, .DE, .FR, .CA, .UK) and hopefully you all already have your
affiliate/partnerIDs at most of them.

It is incredible simple to work with, the settings are simple and straightforward.

You chose a desired category (say: electronics) and you can alternatievely also enter a keyword and AmazonHunter will bring up all items in this category with their sales-rank.

The kicker now is that Amazonhunter creates ready-to-go Adwords ads out of its lists of products and keywords!

In addition, AmazonHunter also can go out on google and check and show whether (and how many) Adwords campaigns are already running for a specific product !

An example session would be:

You start AmazonHunter and chose the electronics-notebooks section with the built-in category browser in Amazonhunter. You could enter a keyword like “Sony” and AmazonHunter will give you a long list with Sony notebooks and create 100% ready Adwords Adgroups for those keywords with your affiliate already embedded
!

All you need to do then is (also very straightforward) use the external Google
Adwords-Editor and copy/paste the results of AmazonHunter in the external
Google Adwords editor – and re-upload the new Ads to adwords ! (This is
explained if you read the documentation to amazonhunter).

I don’t need to mention that this was exactly
what I was looking for since it’s literally impossible to do this manually. As
mentioned – the number of products available on amazon is staggering – and with
AmazonHunter it’s just a matter of a few mouseclicks to copy hundreds, even
thousands of products and ads right into your Adwords-Campaigns. This is a task
which would be literally impossible to do by hand !

I managed to put thousands (!!) keywords and hundred sand hundreds of adgroups and products up in a few hours which are now just waiting on google that someone is looking for those keywords – with my ads then popping up with great quality score and extremely low CPC and low competition J

So…it would go too far to make this an introduction in “how to use AmazonHunter”. You just should know that this all is straight-forward and you would learn to master and use this in under 20 minutes.

Conclusion:

I can just say that if you are an amazon affiliate and have an adwords account this tool is a must-have – as easy as that !

Otherwise you would lose out on an incredible potential for making big bucks using amazon in conjunction with adwords ! It was never easier to do this!
