How to get backlinks where you did'nt think it was possible.
Search Engine Optimization – Beyond Blackhat
Well, there seems to be some fuzziness when
it comes to various SEO methods.
What actually is still considered a method for
“search engine optimization” and what goes beyond ?
(image: backlinks as seen in google webmaster tools under "links")
In a former article on http://ezinearticles.com/?Search-Engine-Optimization---How-to-get-on-TOP-in-Google---What-is-SEO-and-Why-Would-I-Need-It?&id=609174
I explained the basics a bit and introduced you to “On-Site SEO” and “Off-Site SEO”.
If we’d be more general we could somehow classify ALL methods which bring you traffic or benefit your site’s google position as “SEO”.
In this case I want to introduce you to a very sneaky semi blackhat Off-Site SEO method for planting the so important backlinks for your site – thus helping you to increase google ranking and site popularity. (Read my other article for the definition of Blackhat and Whitehat SEO methods.)
Note: I am writing this for informational purposes only – neither do I use this method myself nor do I endorse others to do so !
Planting backlinks – the sneaky way:
Say you are an affiliate marketer or you have an online shop SELLING “antique furniture” (or “SEO services” or cameras or whatever service or product you’re selling)
One of the best ways to gain high PR and traffic to your site would be BIG sites which match exactly this term linking to you.
The problem is only that the BIG sites, and be it you’re selling “SEO services”, or “Antique Furniture” or “Digital Cameras” will HARDLY link to you since you’re a competitor.
DO me a favor and do a search for eg. “SEO Service” and you will see the big players are also your competitors – so there is no way in hell you would get a backlink from those sites.
What you do:
Say your website is www.digitalcamerama.com or www.123seo-kings.com.
In your keyword and link research you get the BIG players in this area together in a list and write an email to them that you have a Blog (!) or Forum (!) regarding this subject, that you’re building up on your site and promoting it and you’re expecting HIGH traffic of people interested in this subject.
“
Hello, my name is xxxx and I own www.example.com, a community and blog for people interested in xyz. I’d be interested in exchanging links with you, i am sure our partnership would be benefitial for us both since my website covers xxxxx. If we exchange links I am sure it will send potential customers to your site and also my site will benefit from a link on your site.
My linkcode for my site is: www.example.com – The Resource for XXX ?"
Here you enter link code for the competitor how your entry should look like on his page
(Do NOT mention you are a SHOP or similar – keep it generic ! Same with your domain name. “Resource” is a good word for this, in my opinion)
You do NOT tell them you sell the same product as them – because for a while you actually have a semi-fake site up which actually IS a blog or a forum, let’s say you made a blog with blogspot…or better, wordpress with your own domain.
For a few weeks or until you have the backlinks , every visitor to your site will see a blog covering the topic….and the blog should look attractive and in a way that the link partner is sure that it bring him traffic ! This is only to pretend you’re blog for the link partner ! But you can certainly keep the blog at a later time and just have it as additional page on your site ! (Actually a good idea !)
After a while, AFTER you have all the backlinks of the big players you install redirects on your site, or just redesign your site, change the URLs…..so that your site now reveals itself as the REAL site you have in mind: Your Online Store selling the Product or Service !
That’s how you can sell anything or provide a service and get big players linking to you even if you’re a competitor – even if your prices beat them and they’re afraid of you !
Some markets are EXTREMELY competive !!
Every other big player will gladly link to you since all he sees in you is potential customers coming from your blog !
Its on you then (at a later time)…either keep YOUR links to his site or remove them. But you don’t have to. Chances are HIS link to your site will stay and he wont check every site in HIS link list…especially if it’s a BIG site. Also..needless to say this method is sneaky…but there is no law telling you NOT to change your mind and change your site..from the “blog” to the store ?
Again: This article is meant for informational purposes only – in this case I described you a sneaky somwhat “Blackhat” SEO method. Neither do I state that this is ethical, nor do I use this method myself or endorse you to use this method.
